Can I remodel over existing tile, fiberglass or plastic walls?

Yes and no. Going over old tile walls with acrylic or Swanstone can be done as long as the existing walls are not bowed or spongy. However, an existing fiberglass or plastic tub/shower surround will need to be removed, and possibly new backer board installed, before you’re ready for new walls.
