Can I release two wild mice I rescued as babies back into the wild?

Once an animals is taken from the wild, it can’t be put back. They will die becasue they were not taught how to survive. They have been given food, water and shelter. They don’t know where to go in the wild. Your best bet is to turn it over to the RSPCA as they are experiences in rehablitating wildlife. It is against the law for you to take wildlife from the wild and keep it as a pet, but to simply release the mice would result almost immediately in its death. The mice have now become tamed even if you don’t handle them -they will be a sitting duck for predators. They will keep them in a wild enviornment with other mice and they may be able to rehabilitate them. People like you do have good intentions but you really should have put them back as soon as possible. They were weaned already and although they were small, they should have been fine if you put them somewhere where they could have cover. If you were very worried, you could have kept them in for the storm and put them back after
