Can I record streaming audio from the internet as an audio file?
Yes, you can. If you are using a Windows operating system on a PC, it’s easy. If you are using Windows XP, simply go to Start, Control Panel, Sound Speech and Audio Devices, Sound and Audio Devices. A window will appear, just under the “Place volume icon in the task bar” info, you need to click the first Advanced… button. Another window will appear. Click on Options and Properties, then tick the “recording” option, and make sure all the options below are ticked under the “show the following volume controls:” click OK. It will then give you options for your recording device. Each options will have a box that can be ticked. If you tick for example the “Master” option, it will record all sound your computer creates, so any sound you place from you computer, it will record. Now simply go to start, accessories, entertainment and sound recorder. When you are listening to music, simply press record. I remember the sound quality isn’t that good and the file size is much larger than MP3… Bu
