Yes. use /employee# in the description field. You can set the journal to anything you want. I suggest something like PYRL just to keep the payroll entries separate. In the demo client, you will see the payroll entries that are already there if you print out the journal. All start with the slash character /. Payee entries use the period + the payee “number” (.payee#). You can also select an employee (or payee) from the employee/payee pop-up windows. This automatically inserts the slash or period character.
