An applicant may receive ten (10) bonus points for residency if he/she has lived in the City of Cleveland for one (1) year prior to signing up for the test. The applicant must show proof of residency by providing the following: Driver’s License, Bank statements, Utility Bills, Mortgage release, Insurance Statements. An applicant may receive five (5) bonus points for military if he/she has actively served in the military and has received an honorable discharge. During sign-up, the applicant must show his/her DD214 discharge papers indicating honorable discharge or for active personnel, have served at least six months and have a letter from their Commanding Officer indicating honorable status.
