Can I really use Stiletto 100 while walking around outside and receive live Sirius broadcasts?
Yes. Sirius’ signal is broadcast from Satellites covering almost all of North America. In most cities, Sirius also broadcasts from land based towers called terrestrial repeaters. In cities covered by these terrestrial repeaters the internal antenna built-in the STILETTO 100 will be sufficient to reliably receive Sirius broadcasts outdoors. In areas outside terrestrial coverage, your STILETTO 100 must receive signal from the Sirius Satellites. To receive the satellite signal the STILETTO’s antenna must have a clear view of the sky. Obstructions such as buildings, trees, bridges, and high voltage power lines can interfere with the satellite signal. The human body will also block satellite signal reception if it is placed between the STILETTO 100 and the sky. It is possible to lose even a strong signal as you move and change position.
