Can I really try out TIRF, FRAP, laser microdissection, time resolved imaging?
Representatives from each of the microscope companies will be available to guide interested individuals in performing any technique that are applicable to the available samples. The samples provided at this workshop will be appropriate for TIRF and time resolved imaging, but none of these preparations would be very interesting for FRAP or FRET. Of course you are welcome to bring any BSL1 sample with you! Laser microdissection is only possible if the samples you have brought yourself are appropriate. Individuals interested in laser capture will need to bring samples on specially treated slides that can be acquired directly from the vendor. Contact an event organizer for details on how to acquire such slides.
