It depends. Many new caterers run into all sorts of difficulty when starting a catering trailer business and sometimes even loose money usually due to a lack of planning and unclear goals often with little true knowledge of the industry. While some will fail there are many mobile food entrepreneurs who earn small fortunes with their mobile BBQ food sales due to the nature of food sales and its high profit margins. There are some who have developed multi-million dollar empires from their mobile food businesses who started out from small mobile catering outlets and expanded into million dollar fortunes.
