Yes! We have raised the intensity of the exercise to a very high level, coupled with the right exercise tools and constant supervision; it becomes a stimulus that your body cannot ignore. The unavoidable consequence is that you cannot adequately recuperate from more exposure than this. Furthermore, the adaptation that your body makes (synthesizing new muscle and its supporting metabolic adaptations) is expensive and takes roughly a week to occur. Fifteen to twenty minutes, twice weekly (initially) is not just something we can get away with, it is actually a requirement for the production of best results. As you become stronger from this style of training, overall training times must be reduced not increased. With exercise performed properly ‘more is NOT better’!
