Can I read the entire contents of an RS232 data logger into an Excel spreadsheet?
No, Windmill is designed to take readings from a data acquisition instrument at regular intervals. You can either send the data as it is read to an Excel spreadsheet, or you can use the Windmill Logger program to save the data in a file then open this file in Excel after collection is finished. You cannot use Windmill to download a block of previously collected data (unless you are using a Microlink data logger).
