Macintosh Explorer provides a file shelf that lets you quickly add files and folders along the top bar of Macintosh Explorer. The shelf gives you quick, one click access to any amount of files and folders added. This includes items deeply nested within your hard drives. You can quickly add files or folders to your shelf by either control clicking selected files and folders and selecting ‘Add to Shelf’ or drag files and folders from Macintosh Explorer or from the Finder and drop them in the area between the path field and the file lists. To remove files and folders added to your shelf, control click one of them items and select remove. To hide all items in the shelf you can select hide shelf from the Preferences under the Appearance tab.
