Can I put Car Guys Flooring epoxy finish over pre-existing coatings?

Car Guys Flooring is not recommended for application over existing coatings because the existing coating will inhibit bonding of the epoxy to the concrete floor. Floors that have existing coatings should be stripped with our specially-formulated strip gel, etched or shot blasted to remove as much of the old floor coating as possible. In cases where the coating cannot be removed, a sanding of the floor can provide a “profile” for the epoxy to adhere to.
