Can I Put a Wired Router in a Metal Media Box with the Modem?
Putting those devices in that box should be fine, as long as there will not be any ventilation problems. Those devices usually run day and night, and too much heat is bad for those components as well. However, do not place your wireless router in there. Your assumption was correct that the signal was messing up within the box.
