Can I purchase Ordnance Survey maps from Angus Council?
Angus Council has a licence from the Ordnance Survey to use Ordnance Survey mapping for its own purposes only. There is now a separate agreement with another company whereby Angus Council can provide map extracts for members of the public for any purpose and at many different scales. This is a new and improved service and the charges are variable depending on how much mapping and at what scale it is provided. To use this service and order mapping, please contact Planning and Transport Reception at County Buildings tel: 01307 473342. Students at local authority schools should ask their teacher to obtain mapping. Other students wishing mapping for a school or university project can only obtain this from their local library. This is usually provided free. If in doubt about whether you qualify under the terms of the council Licence please contact Ross McDonald, the Authority Liaison Officer (details below). Where requests do not qualify, then maps can be purchased from Ordnance Survey outl
