Can I purchase my cabin at a lower price and just pay the difference for the convention portion of the cruise?
The simple answer is no. Besides the money that EyeCon pays the cruise line, we also get accountability with the ship for every person that we bring. If a person were to book their own cruise, then they are not part of the group as far as the cruise line is concerned. For example, if we had 200 people on the cruise but 10 booked their own cabins, then the cruise line would only set aside 190 seats in the EyeCon portion of the dining room. The other 10 people would have to sit away from the EyeCon group.
