Can I purchase Commercial and Military pattern support vehicles?
A. The Federal Government of Canada has obtained the services of an automotive auction company to remarket all commercial and military pattern support vehicles. The Contract is open to all departments and agencies of the federal government and the equipment is normally sold through public actions. Vehicles, which the Department of National Defence sells exclusively through the auction company, include the following: • Heavy Vehicles and Equipment, both Commercial and Standard Military Pattern, over three (3) ton capacity. This category includes dump trucks, aircraft refuelling trucks, forklifts, busses, graders, cranes, etc; and • Light Vehicles and Equipment, both Commercial and Standard Military Pattern, under three (3) ton capacity. This category includes automobiles, vans, pick-up trucks, all terrain vehicles (ATV), over snow vehicles, etc.
