Can I purchase an ISD that can be permanently fastened to an outlet box?
A hardwired version of the plug-in ISD, the ‘HPM’ will soon be available. It will fasten to the back of a standard, off the shelf, strobe, horn, strobe/horn combo unit and bell and will reside in a provided 4″ X 4″ electrical box. This box will be mounted at the approved height level, and wired into the nearest 120V non-switched AC source. An STI wire cage and a securing plate are also available to protect a regular ISD unit from being unplugged by children.
