Tourist guides may only promote or put themselves out as ‘providing guiding services’. The mention of ‘tours’ may suggest travel agent business activity which might infringe the Travel Agents Act. Please refer to Section 4(1) of the Travel Agents Act. You may only promote your guiding services and may mention your specialty eg. nature or heritage. However, you would need to seek the Board’s approval first as stipulated under Section 7 of the Tourist Guides Regulations (pt12 of The Schedule – Conditions of Licence).
