Can I print from the laptop docking stations in the I.T. Services Computer Centre Lab?
Currently, printing from laptops is not available in the Computer Lab. However, you have three possible solutions if you need to print a document that is on your laptop. You may save the file on a floppy, or ftp it to your University of Windsor student Unix account or send it as an attachment to your email account. Then, go to one of the workstations (PC’s) in the lab, open the file and print from there. • Is there editing software on the scanner? No, because the scanner is setup primarily for scanning purposes only. However, you may save your pictures on a floppy disk or memory stick or burn them on a CD-R or CD-RW, then take them to any of the workstations in the I.T. Services Computer Centre Lab where Microsoft PhotoEditor is available for editing images. • Can I e-mail my scanned images from the scanner? No. The scanner is attached to a stand-alone computer that is not connected to the Internet. You will need to save your image files on a floppy disk or memory stick, CD-R or CD-RW
