Can I prevent intake gasket problems by converting my GM vehicle to green coolant, instead of Dexcool?

I have seen quite a few repeat failures on vehicles that have been converted and do not believe the coolant choice is a factor. Dexcool is a good product when properly used and replaced. GM repeat intake gasket failure is more related to inferior machine work than coolant or gasket selection, in my experience.
