Can I play Playstation 3 Online over ResNet?
Maybe. As far as we can tell we have done everything necessary and possible on ResNet to allow PS3s to connect to the Playstation Network. We know that once you have validated your PS3 (using the same method mentioned for other games consoles listed above) and set a web proxy in it’s configuration system, you are able to use the console’s web browser, but we have had various people report issues with connecting to the Playstation Network, and as far as we are aware this is a necessary precursor to playing any games online. We are investigating why this issue is arising, but it may simply be that the way the PS3 works is not compatible with large scale NATed networks like Resnet. It may also be that there are issues getting the Playstation Network to interact with the web proxies for logging on and the like. If we discover a way to get the PS3 working successfully and relaibly from Resnet then this FAQ will be updated. If any users discover a way to do this, we would appreciate you upda
