Can I play Guitar Hero III on PS2 with the old guitar from guitar hero 2?
Guitar Hero III is available for PS2, PS3, XBOX360, and Wii. I purchased it for my PS2, and used my old guitar from Guitar Hero 1 just fine, as well as the guitar that came with Guitar Hero 2. They are identical in every way except for color, with the first game having a black guitar with white accents, and the Guitar Hero 2 guitar having a red body with black accents, and finally Guitar Hero 3 having a guitar with red body and black accents, and also “Gibson” in white letters on the head of the guitar (which is the ONLY difference between GH2 and GH3’s guitars). Also, the place where the cord goes in, on GH2 and GH3’s red guitars, is more reinforced so it appears to have a larger rubber stem to it, but it shouldn’t really affect anything unless your star power move involves swinging it by the cord! Play hard!
