Can i plant blueberry bushes in autumn?
Yes it is a good time to plant. Blueberries require an acidic soil to grow well so do a soil test before putting them in the ground. If your soil is not suitable then grow them in large containers using ericaceous compost. They do very well in containers, this is how I grow them. Do not use bonemeal as this is contains lime and will not help the shrubs at all. Remember to cover the bushes with fleece just before they fruit or the blackbirds will steal the lot!
