Yes, but it is not recommended. You can expect to lose ~50 to 75% in amperage output due to the UV protection and tinting in some vehicle rear windows and/or windshields. Newer vehicles usually have more UV protection then older vehicles and due to this, are worse that older vehicles in this regard. In addition your panel could also lose significant “charge time” in the sun due to the shading effect that the vehicle roof will provide to the panel at various times of day and due to the various direction that the vehicle may be facing – North, South East or West. Directly on top of any vehicle is always best if possible.
