Can I place a sibling group into a foster group home if all of the children in the sibling group are younger than 5-years-old?
YES. §749.2565 allows you to place a sibling group with children of any age into a foster group home IF you have determined that the placement is necessary to keep the sibling group together and there is not a least restrictive setting available to meet the needs of the sibling group. Your decision must be documented in the child’s record. When making this decision, you must also consider whether the foster home will be able to maintain the ratio requirements in §749.2563.
