Can i pick my own engagement ring?
A girl friend of mine just got engaged. She knew the proposal was coming, but didn’t know when. She wanted to pick out her own engagement ring, but he said to wait. So she decided to wait. Her fiance bought a loose one carat diamond, and proposed without a ring setting. He figured he would let her pick out the setting. So she’s looking online for a setting that she likes. She wants me to help her look. I know her tastes are simple, understated, and “elegant”.. LOL! Good luck.
Pick the type of ring you want, stone, cut, mounting, colour, type of metal, and importantly give him the right size and dont forget that your fingers will get bigger when theyre hot. Id talked it over with my fiance plenty of times and we looked and tried a few rings so I knew what type of ring she would love. I then bought it and did the asking a few months later. We’re getting married!!! yeah!
Some girls do. I wanted to pick my ring because I am very picky. Besides we are very open in our relationship, so we communicate very well. I gave him tons of ideas of what I like and was specific as to what I DONT want. He is choosing the ring though. Which is okay because I want him to like my ring too and he really wants to surprise me as to when to pop the question. It is our special moment and if he wants to do that its fine. I feel comfortable knowing that I told him what my style is too.
