Olympus has stated that the 2500 does not have an IR filter over the CCD, which means near infrared photography techniques can be performed with the proper filters. Several members of the C-2500L email discussion group are experimenting with the Hoya Infrared R72 filter using manual focus and 2-second exposures, then bringing their photos into Photoshop for post processing.
