Yes, as long as all you’re doing is physical patching. As with all wiring, make sure your connections are solid, and keep the wires inside the Cat-5 cable twisted as much as possible. And remember that a patch point doesn’t refresh the A-Net signal, so don’t connect two 500-foot (150m) cables through a floor pocket and expect it to work!
