Can I Paint Over Varnish?

You should be able to paint in acrylic over varnish (I am asuming the varnish is acrylic also; if so, the paint should bind to the varnish with no problems). When you are done, you’ll need another layer of varnish on top of everything to even out the surface. Good luck!
