No. This e-mail address is your official e-mail address through which the university sends e-mail communications and is recorded in the university’s electronic directories. Students are expected to check their e-mail on a frequent and consistent basis to stay current with university-related communications. If an individual wishes to have e-mail forwarded from their CSU, Chico e-mail account to another e-mail address (e.g., @hotmail.com, @aol.com, or an address on a departmental server), the individual may do so, but at his or her own risk. The university is not responsible for the handling of e-mail by outside vendors or by departmental servers. Having e-mail forwarded does not change the individual’s responsibility for reading and responding to official communications sent to their CSU, Chico e-mail account. For more information on student e-mail policy at CSU, Chico see Executive Memorandum 05-05.
