Although you can do so, it is most important that you operate both the JANDEC ceiling fan and the ceramic heater simultaneously because the ceiling fan will draw the warm air from the ceiling and mix it with the hot air created by the ceramic heater. Remember, hot air rises so some heat loss to the ceiling will occur and you will not feel the warm summer breeze effect if you only operate the ceramic heater by itself.
