The user has two choices when opening an old (*.UDX, *.UDF) design file: • Review the file in read-only format with the PI Viewer. PI Viewer is also available within the PI Expert Tools menu. • Open the file and select the “Yes” option at the startup prompt to automatically convert to PI Expert v.6.6 *.UDS format. This file is no longer read-only and may be modified and re-saved. This conversion may modify the original *.UDX, *.UDF file contents. See “Opening a *.UDX, *.UDF file” for more information.
