Can I open a custodial account for my child using an HSBCdirect Online Savings Account?

0

Although you can’t open a separate HSBC Direct Online Savings Account for a child under the age of 18, you can open an account in your name and add your child as the beneficiary. It’s simple: Complete an HSBCdirect Online Savings application in your name. Once your Online Savings account is open, and your Personal Internet Banking is set up, you can send us a BankMail (located on the left side menu within Personal Internet Banking) with your child’s name. Once we receive your BankMail, we will list your child on the account as a beneficiary. When you view your account statement online, you will see your child’s name with the account title.
