Can i only cover the base of the chicken pie?
Just was freshing up my knowledge about Chicken Pie. As the Pastry is only on the top, I assume that you refer to the base meat not being cooked yet. In this my first suggestion of putting it back into oven may be best, also make sure that you do not only use upper-heat in the oven but also the lower heat. Before serving the pie you can check on the temperature in the base by using a needle thermometer, often such are available as digital gadgets. If the temperature should be too low, leave the pie in the oven for a while using the lower-heater only in order to raise the temperature locally and prevent the topping from burning.
