Can I obtain credit for college certified professional development workshops and intensive courses that I have attended for my job?
The short answer is no. Professional development courses, even if college certified, do not translate into graduate credit. Virginia Tech cannot provide graduate credits for courses that do not have a comprehensive grading system (letter grades not pass/fail) and have regular graduate course standing. We can and do allow students to transfer up to 9-12 hours of credits but only for graduate level college courses that relate directly to the Masters of Public and International Affairs.
