Can I not just block off something that one particular individual is saying instead of blocking the whole channel?

You can. It is called the ignore command. This command can be use to ignore a number of players for a session. Typing in ignore will simply toggle that player on and off your ignore list, which can be seen by typing ignore by itself. Your ignore list will be cleared every time you log out. This is to encourage you to settle your differences instead of merely ignoring them. Please note that clan officers and Immortals cannot be ignored.
