Yes, the [BACK UP] feature will transfer images from the cameras internal memory to an xD-Picture Card flash memory card. It does not, however, delete those images from the internal memory. To perform a backup, insert an xD-Picture Card flash memory card into the camera and then turn the camera on. Press the [MENU] button, located beneath the LCD monitor. Use the Up or Down arrow to navigate to [BACK UP]. Press the Right arrow to advance to the next menu. Use the Up or Down arrow to select [YES]. Press the [OK] button to start the file transfer. The backup procedure takes some time. It is recommended that you fully charge your battery before performing a backup. Note: It is not possible to copy images from the media card to the cameras internal memory.
