Prowatt inverters should not be installed in the engine compartment due to water / oil / or acid contamination concerns which can damage the inverter’s electronics. Excessive heat in an engine compartment will also degrade the inverter’s performance. It is best to run battery cables in a dry, cool inverter-mounting location.
