Can I mount a fishing rod holder on the Octopus Hatch?
Good idea. We recommend the popular Scotty Rod Holders (fly or bait), and their model 241 base. This is a good fit, using four #12×1 stainless sheet metal screws, thru small pilot holes. The Atwood products are not as easily adapted and appear to be less durable. By the way, the Scotty 241 base also accepts their model 820 Portable Running Light.
