Hi Cindy, My reply assumes that you do not hold citizenship in an EU country and if you do hold EU citizenship then different rules apply. The rules for student visas are changing regularly and you need to stay up on them. The answer to your question depends on how long you are going to be studying, the type of student visa you are applying for and what conditions that UK government attaches to your visa. If you are going to be studying for a degree or foundation degree then most likely during term time you can work provided your total hours per week is less than 20 hours per week during term time. However if you are applying for a child student visa or your program is below degree level that is not a foundation degree then you are limited to 10 hours a week. Should you go over that limit, your studies end, or the school ends their sponsorship of you then you will be in violation of your visa and subject to removal.
