No, you must use ALL S-video or ALL Composite connectors. Thats because “format conversion” (the impressive sounding name we use to describe circuits that convert a composite video signal to an S-video signal and vice versa) were very expensive to implement without degrading signal quality at that time. Thats why we chose not to include them. However many of our current A/V receivers today possess this format conversion feature.
