Can I mix modules with different numbers of black chips on them?
Most likely yes. If you have a 64MB module in your machine and order another 64MB module, don’t be surprised if the new module has fewer black chips than your old one. As the size of the circuitry is reduced, we can now fit more memory on each chip, reducing the number of chips needed to make a module.
