Can I mix Larger Domestic Rats with Medium size Domestic rats?

Lily needs to do some more research. Rats only eat their babies if they are injured, or otherwise nonviable. (Meaning they are flawed) It is a myth that rodents will eat their babies if they have been touched. If the rat with the new momma is with is also a female, there is no reason to separate them from each other. Females often help each other care for the new babies that are born. If it is a male GET IT OUT! Rats can become pregnant again within 12 hours after giving birth! Back to back litters are very hard on a momma :o( The babies could be born dead, or the mother can die giving birth. The babies will also be weaker and more likely to become sick, since she is nursing a litter already. As for mixing them, introduce them slowly, as rats can be territorial. Obviously, do not mix males & females, unless they are neutered or spayed. Watch them closely, since if they do not get along, they can severely injure each other. Missing toes is not cool.
