First, I am very sorry to hear that you will likely go to prison. It is not a nice place to be, and I know how much it can stress you personally. If you are considering trying to mitigate your prison time, then the best thing you can do is hire a legal expert.

Someone who understands what you are going through is important – but it is even more important to have someone who can help you to fight back against the accusations. To give you extra support and to remind the judge that you are actually a person.

A friend of mine used a mitigation service when they were sentenced for fraud. They successfully argued that their situation was a bit more specific than other fraud cases. While they were still sentenced, their time in prison was far less severe than it would have been without them.

My advice? Try it. If nothing else, it is worth a shot.
