Can I miss a Jr. High Sports Night and still play that season?
No and Yes, Sports night is a huge part of our Jr. High Athletic Ministry. A great sports analogy would be a sprinter starting a race. If the sprinter stands for his start instead of using the starting blocks, he is at a huge disadvantage. His whole race will be affected. Missing sports night is the same. At the meeting you will be able to meet the coach, you will hear his/her goals for the season, you will hear his or her personal rules, and you will start the season well. However we know there will be students entering school late, or family emergencies, so if you miss a Jr. High Sports night for your students sport, you will need to pay a $25 late fee, fill out all the necessary paperwork, come into the athletic office to get the coaches phone number and call the coach for details of the first practice, team rules, etc. One or two families that have an emergency or are entering school late is fine, but when half a football team does not show up to the meeting and the coach is having
