The short answer is yes – you can manage your e-mail using multiple e-mail programs (or multiple computers). But, it takes some work. Most e-mail programs download your e-mail from Comcast to your local computer, removing the messages from the Comcast mail server. Once your e-mail has been downloaded and removed, the next time your check your mail, you’ll only download message that have arrived since the previous check. That means if you have two e-mail programs configured to download your mail, and remove it from the server afterwards, your messages will be scattered across both programs. The solution to this is to set your e-mail program(s) to leave a copy of the message on the server. For instructions on how to do this using Outlook Express, please see this FAQ.
