Can I make vegetable juice or fruit dishes like applesauce?
Virtually all fruit juice is a concentrated source of sugar and fruit juices are not on the diet because of their sugar content. Vegetables, with the exception of those with very low sugar content, such as celery, also become concentrated liquid sugar when turned into juice – it takes many carrots, tomatoes or beets to produce a glass of juice. In general, vegetable juices are not included in the diet but I suppose if a patient asked me about making celery juice in a juicer at home, it would be acceptable because of the low sugar content. Applesauce is okay if you make it yourself and do not add sweeteners of any kind. However, apple juice is not allowed on the LifeForce Plan.
