Can I make the Magic Scout Generator build its databases from my own data?
• Since the format of the data from any public source can change at any time, we copy ‘stable’ unaltered versions to our own servers for direct download by the Magic Scout Generator. As such, we do not encourage users to bypass the normal download and build process. But technically experienced users can experiment and bypass the normal process by modifying the ‘databases’ subdirectory, and replacing the downloaded zip files with their own data (do not replace the HTML or text files… they are extracted on each build). Users are cautioned that no support is provided when modifying the databases. Do I get updates as new versions of Magic Scout become available? • When you register Magic Scout, you are entitled to free updates to the main program for life! This means you can download a new version at anytime, and simply install ‘over top’ of your existing version. Note: major new features added to Magic Scout in future versions may have restricted access for older registered customers. F
