Last night, an other wise quiet Monday, I went to the Macaroni Grill, the hottest restaurant to hit the Harrisburg area since a flipping Mcdonalds. By the way, you chain-loving central Pennsylvanians, you’re crazy. Last night at the Macaroni Grill, I was told there would be a 45 minute wait for dinner. Wait, let me start at the beginning. Joe called to make reservations. The Macaroni Grill told Joe they were not taking reservations but that since we wanted to have dinner at 7:30, we wouldn’t be likely to wait. I got to the Macaroni Grill earlier than our scheduled 7:30 dinner to request a table. The hostess asked me if I made a reservation. “I was told I couldn’t make a reservation,” I told her. She was very patient and did explain to me that they are only allowed to take so many reservations a night, and the rest is reserved for walk-in customers. While this is all fine and dandy, it was not was Joe was told. The hostess went on to tell me that it was unusually busy because of graduat
