Can I make my Garmin Oregon 400i,c,t load with no maps like a 300?
Yes. Simply rename (I would strongly suggest backing the file up to your computer first) the file called [drive]:\Garmin\gmapprom.img to gmapprom.xxx and the Oregon will start with no maps. This saves some startup time, but no maps will be loaded including the basemap unless you have other map files loaded.
